Located the banks of the Berg river and in the heart of the West Coast, Cape Hunt safaris bird base is where you will find some of the best wild bird hunting South Africa has to offer. Rough shooting through the natural Rhenosterveld produces fantastic game birds opportunities for Guinnefowl and Cape Franklin, whilst the river and waterways provide for superb duck , geese and teal shooting from hides . Some six waterfowl species are available for hunting . The months May through August are the best for bird hunting as it affords an opportunity to hunt game bird and waterfowl on both the morning and afternoon sessions . In the summer months pigeon and dove are also available for shooting . Shotguns and ammunition can be supplied and hired . There is also an added option to do driven wild ostrich hunting year round.
